Bombers Loose Ring Lock Up Snaffle

The Bombers Loose Ring Lock Up Snaffle allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse’s mouth.

The Lock-Up Snaffle removes the nut cracker action of a regular snaffle. It is a good choice for a horse with a sensitive tongue, as it reduces tongue pressure. Its gives a sensitive feel when reins are taken up on a horses mouth. Our snaffle is designed so that the underneath of the link is smooth, thus eliminating a pressure point on the tongue.  Bomber bits are also curved so that they fit the shape of the horse’s mouth.

The loose ring makes the bit mobile in the horse’s mouth, encouraging your horse to gently take the bit. It also allows for an immediate release of the rein aids, which releases pressure on the tongue and bars straight away when the horse responds to commands correctly.

The blue sweet iron mouthpiece oxidises easily, warms up quickly and tastes sweet in the horse’s mouth, which encourages the horse to salivate and accept the bit without resistance.

Please note that the blue will fade with use.
