The KM Elite Sheepskin Half Pads are spine free and made using real lambskin. The half pad design is swept up at the wither which as a result relieves pressure on the horse’s back, allowing air to flow through and ensures an optimum fit.

Out of all the real sheepskin pads on the market, we believe these are some of the best. High quality half pads, which are made using 100% Merino lambskin. The lambskin is tanalised without the use of harmful chemicals and is also uses 100% natural cotton quilted fabric.

The sheepskin encourages muscle relaxation and improves blood circulation. As a result, this maintains a soft comfortable contact with the horse. The KM Half Pads are fully breathable and the natural merino sheepskin fibres will help wick away any sweat produced from the horses. Infact the natural sheepskin can hold up to forty times its own weight in moisture, keeping the horse cool during the summer and warmer in the winter.

What’s the best way to clean my half pad?

Caring for your half pad is easy. Firstly remove hair, dirt and dried sweat with a stiff brush. If hair remains on the pad, get some sticky tape and wrap this around your hand back to front so that this sticky side is facing out. Pat the half pad with the palm and back of your hand and watch how easy the hair comes off the half pad. Once the hair is removed, put the dirty tape in the bin. Your Half Pad is machine washable at 30° on a cool/wool cycle or hand wash.

Use non-bio powder or liquid to clean your products as this will prevent the colour from fading. Straighten and flatten cotton fabric after washing. Air dry near heat source with plenty of air flow around it. Do not place on top of your Aga to dry quickly and Never tumble dry. Forcing a real sheepskin half pad to dry quickly will result in the half pad becoming stiff and rigid and may lead to shrinkage.

Avoid using strong fabric conditioners. Warning: In rare cases dye from black wool items may react with sweat and stain grey coats.

What size half pad is best for my horse?

Of course all horses come in different shapes and sizes, we would recommend the following sizes to fir the following saddles;

Large – 18 inch Saddle.

Medium – 17- 17 1/2 inch Saddle.

Small up to 16 inch Saddle
